Free ALL THE Apps! :D

Well, maybe not ALL the apps. That's just crazy. Anyway, the title has a relation to what I'm about to show you. This may deviate from the usual happenings around me but that's because I've been busy lately.

Here we go. The thing I wanna talk about is Free My Apps by Fiksu. It is a service that claims to "NEVER Pay For Apps Again". This is definitely true!

It has a credit system that lets you earn credits everytime you download their sponsor apps and run them for 30 seconds each, which are ALL free.

After saving enough credits, you can download gift apps. All of them are paid apps, and you can get them for FREE. (YES, FREE!)

This is currently for iOS users only. Hopefully, they can put out a version of this for you Android people.

Personally, I LOVE this service but the number of sponsor apps are few and it seems hard to get the cool apps.

Expectations for 2012...

The first day of 2012 is nearly over, but this year's just getting started. Here's what I expect from this year:

  • WORLD IS NOT GOING TO END - Seriously, people! You really believe those? Sheeesh, next thing you know that guy (Harold Camping) predicts some random date to be the "Judgment Day".
  • PROGRESS IN THE PHILIPPINES - It's about time that the President should do something that will radically affect the lives of the Filipinos.
  • BE MORE OPEN-MINDED - Usually, I get biased as to what I use. I don't try to use other things for it opposes my ideals. For this year, I want to try things that can make me more open with other things.
For now, that's all I expect from you, 2012. ^^ Hope you'll be nice to everyone. :D

The Sudden Turn of Events..

"Some things either happen because you wanted to or it's for a reason."

This month taught me a lot in life. This maybe one of those times where you feel helpless and learn that people have been there for you all this time. It may feel like it's too late to realize but it never isn't, right? So, I'll be telling the story of my year-end experience before thanking people of the memories of this year.

It all started when I had this problem with my right ear. It was really painful because I couldn't hear anything, and there was this annoying high-pitched screech with it. It really hurts. I didn't know what to do. We went to the doctor and got medication but after a week, it seemed a bit hopeless because of this feeling of uselessness. I didn't know if I could make it through that time. I prayed to God that I wanted to get well, that I wanted to hear the voices of happiness from family and friends. Then, a lot of things happened that opened my eyes even further...

First, I had a chance to be with a good friend in high school for a day, going wherever she was going. Next, we had a great time during the Christmas party of our family. After that, we had a good time roaming around the city for Christmas Day. It was amazing how different the views of the city are between day and night. December 26th, my cousins and I went to the mall for some unforgettable fun.

The events just keep happening after that. On the 29th, I went with 4th year high school classmates. We had a great time by singing with the karaoke and eating in KFC while talking about the good ol' times. Then just yesterday, I was with a very good friend of mine in college with another friend and just had a good time bonding.

It made me realize that no matter how hopeless you can get, God will find ways to lead you back to Him. I saw that through my family and friends. I am forever grateful to God for what He has done, and I thank Him so much for all that has happened. I just hope and pray that my mom would get better.

SO WILL 2012. ^_^

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES, FAMILY AND FRIENDS! LOVE Y'ALL! :D

Fire And Ice :)

This event really meant a lot to the people behind it. :) I can't believe after all the hardwork we've been through, we've heard positive feedback from teachers. I'm so happy for all of us.. I really appreciate the work that we did to reach the success we now harness.

Despite the problems we faced on the journey to this event, we all pulled through. ^^ Without our president's iron fist, maybe this would have been worse.

Job well done guys ^_^

Moody.

No one has denied me of my state right now.

I really don't like what I'm feeling at this very moment. It's like this thorn on my side that would never go away and until now, I could never figure out why. I really don't like being this way.

Being moody does have its perks though. It helps me think about certain things that I usually don't think about due to stress that I can't prevent while in school. I'm really starting to hate this. Oh well.

I really hate ranting like this. Maybe it's because of my feelings? Or the fact that my plans are ruined for next week due to some uncalled-for activities where most of them won't matter to a person whose interests are computers. I'd rather stay at home and do more productive stuff for an upcoming event because it's really getting closer.

And wait, crap. I don't like having feelings for someone that I view as something else. I don't want something bad to happen. I just want them to stay as they are. Being TOO moody sucks.

I don't know why random rants are popping out of my head, but one thing's for sure, and it's that I'm feeling moody right now.

That's all. BOW.

The Amazement of Controller-Free Gaming

I was surprised as I walked around SM today, and saw this setup of an Xbox 360 with Kinect (of course, with a TV). Their event was called "Dad Has I.T.!" and the reaction of the people passing by was great! There were people who actually made an effort to dance their heart out since with the Kinect, you can play games with only human gestures, which is the reason why people are amazed by what's happening there.

Hopefully after this event, people will come to know the power of this wonderful technology that is one of those that transcends technology itself. ^^

Kudos to Microsoft. :D

This guy's cooooool.

Seriously, he's really coooooooool.

Year Three, Week One...

Wow, another year. I couldn't believe it, but YES I'm already in my third year as a CS major. The feeling that I'm so close to real life is really really awkward. I didn't know that I would already come to this point in my life. The differences between last year and now is I'm carrying a lot of responsibilities now. Studies, the organization, and the future: these are a lot to think about these days.

I don't know if I'm ready to face the future, but I know that with my friends, I have the confidence to do it.

I just hope I get some time to relax a bit because I don't want the stress to get to me. Life shouldn't be that mean, you know.

'Nuff said.

Summer's Last Breaths...

I can't believe summer's going to end... again. But right now, it just seems that this may be my last summer because the real world's starting to pull me in. Great. I don't regret the good things that I did, but I regret the things I couldn't do because of real-world situations. It's so sad that some of the things I wanted to do didn't go as planned. I still want to do them though, but time is already eating me up like a giant monster.

I'm still happy that I went through a lot of things this summer, especially because I've never known so many people in a span of two months! It was really surprising to know that there are people out there I have yet to meet. There are also those people in which I already knew, but failed to really know them more. I would really like a chance to get close to people I really care. I miss them so much that because of certain circumstances, I couldn't be with them. Hopefully summer's last breaths would give me that chance.

Boredom is the least of my worries now, because it's all too common...

It's Been "ALMOST" Two Years...

Despite the on-and-off time here, I can't believe I made this blog last for ALMOST two years. I didn't realize that I have the time to do random blog posts that may or may not please people.

Now I ask you guys: What do you want to see in this blog?

Comment below for your suggestions. :)

Can't wait for them. ^_^

Good Leader, Good Follower.

In unity, we build a better organization. LOL.
In the past, I always thought that life is just one straight path that leads to a certain end, but as I went on with life, I realized that a lot of twists and turns happen in life and all we should do is live with it since that's what it's for. Meeting other people who have the same cause, despite having differences, helped me ease the burden since I'm not alone in having this stress.

Beloved Team Seven ^_^
Nalingaw jud ko ani nga day because of the people you see here. We helped each other in realizing what is vital in an organization, which according to us, is UNITY. (LOL) I love these people for who they are and I hope that we could get together even after this :)

HUNGAAAAW! :D

Anime In Focus: Ano Hana ^_^

It's been a while since I've tried watching other anime besides the ones I constantly follow. I've been looking at Taka Fansubs lately and I saw their new project, named Ano Hana, short for Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai (We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day). The genre's interesting, since I don't really watch a lot of drama-themed anime. It's about six friends in which they try to find their friendship after being separated due to a tragedy in their past.

I gave it a chance, and it really is an interesting anime because there are things in which I didn't expect despite it being an ongoing anime. I actually thought that the girl with white hair, nicknamed Menma, already died because she seemed like a normal girl whose presence isn't actually cared by the other characters. I won't be able to tell more about it though until I've watched it all.

Read Taka's news post HERE.
Hope you will enjoy this as much as I did. ^^

Later guys...

Holy Week ^_^

This week made me realize things, despite my constant use of Facebook all throughout the solemnity.

I realized that even though I may feel down and out at times and I feel like I wanna give up, God's always there to bring me back up and help me in my path back to His Kingdom. ^_^ On Good Friday, our family, along with some relatives, went to church to do the Stations of the Cross. It's a yearly tradition in our family to do this in observance of the Holy Week. We also observe abstinence and fasting during the whole Lenten season.

It's nice to be with family. ^_^
I sincerely hope that the Holy Week enlightens us to do good things to ourselves, other people, and most importantly, God.

Hope you had a very enlightening Holy Week guys. ^_^

Working in Summer...

I've been busy these past weeks primarily because I was...

AT WORK.

Yes, I was working. You may see me around Facebook as usual as I can be but I'm working during all those times I'm online, well maybe except weekends. I think of this as an alternate version of HOME, since all I do is stare at my laptop and do random stuff. The only difference is I get to do other stuff like answer the phone, and issue invoices and receipts. It's kind of easy, but I feel discouraged because I get stressed due to the staring at the laptop. Oh well, as long as I get money, I guess. I also feel the idea of work is good so that I may apply it in the future.

Hopefully you're enjoying your summer vacation guys. ^^

Yellow Cab is ♥.

040111
It's good to be with people, not because they're good, but because they see the good and bad in you. :)
I really enjoyed the day when we hung out after that stressful 1st set of distribution of papers. It's so nice to relax after that VERY VERY stressful semester full of assignments and TESTS! I never expected I would still be me though. If it weren't for the teamwork in our block, we couldn't have gone past this nightmare of a semester. After all that jazz, some of us went to Yellow Cab in Banilad Town Center last Friday in order to celebrate. Smiles were emanating from that place when we were there. We laughed about random things. I just loved him. Hopefully those moments in the computer playing Counter-Strike after that food trip was fun. ^^

I ♥ BSCSMA. ^_^

Summer has begun...

...and I can't believe it already arrived. All those pressures I had during that semester seemed like yesterday. Oh wait, it was UNTIL last Friday. ^^

Here are things I wanna do this summer and hopefully I can accomplish ALL of them:
- Learn how to drive
- Learn PHP and mySQL in preparation for next sem.
- TRY to retain all I've learned in programming for the past 2 years.
- Create videos that would certainly take my time off social networking.
- Go to more places than I would normally go.
- Save for something useful (like a nice set of headphones)

Summer has never been this relaxing. ^_^
Contests coming soon as summer progresses... Go go go!

Yellow Hopes...

Even though I wasn't born at the time when EDSA People Power took place, I still feel the passion of every single person who was in there. It's just surprising that with the power of the Filipino people, there was change.

People Power has always been one of the most symbolic events that define us as a people. I just hope our generation understands this and hope that we maintain this peace so that the next generation can benefit this freedom that we know experience. ;)

Happy 25th Anniversary, Filipinos!

Stressed Out. :(

A teacher once told me,
"It's okay. You're too young to be stressed out."

I guess she's right, but I can't help it but feel stressed. Subjects aren't getting any easier, but it just feels like it isn't as hard as what I thought it would be. I actually thought I would drown in failure thinking about THOSE MAJOR subjects. Not that I have a hard time, but I feel tired just constantly trying. It makes me wish I could go back to high school, OH WAIT IT WAS STRESSFUL TOO. HAHAHA.

I think that college took out the majority of the stress that high school gave me (probably because every subject isn't done everyday already which is really GOOD ^^) but still, I can't help but think: "Am I gonna lose myself anytime now?" Here comes the thought of my friends, where we spend good times a lot. They make me forget about the problems because we know we can do it if we're together.

Maybe I just can't help it but be stressed. I should relax once in a while. Being in Facebook's just as stressful as life itself. Hope that summer's gonna provide me with that.. Maybe I should try deactivating once in a while.

Should I try to deactivate my Facebook account? Leave a comment below.

Enjoy ^_^

Misunderstandings and Mishaps.

My happy mood has just been ruined by a strange thought.

I miss all those times being together. It was like a Facebook group within ourselves and we had so much fun together. Subgroups were barely there and things couldn't get any happier than this. After that time though, it seems that it fell apart. Bonds suddenly break, and things would never be the same again. Someone just wants that bond to go back, even for just a while. I want to see tears, smiles, laughter, all sorts of things. Everytime I enter the room, and all the people are there, it's obvious to me that they solidified the breakage. I really didn't expect this to happen.

I asked someone about this earlier and he said that he saw this coming. The worst part is, it really happened. I wasn't really shocked though since it's expected. I never expected it to be severe, though. I really really want us to come back. There's nothing I want more than for US to come back.

It's not that I'm not open to everyone's thoughts, it's just that I don't like hearing: "This will not happen" or "It's impossible". There are times when being down means to reflect, but it doesn't mean it has to stay that way.

I know I'm saying this again but I JUST WANT TO SAY IT.

I WANT US. :(

(Pardon my emotional outburst. It's been a long time since I've felt this...)

BUSYness. Indeed.

I haven't really thought of too many things lately because I've been busy with school and co-curricular stuff. I enjoy them though, and never take them as a very stressful activity.

How do you feel when you do something stressful? Do you look at it positively or negatively? Should we even deal with the stress?

"Daghan man ug sources ning pagka-stress nato. Depende ra gyud kung imo nang seryosohon o di nimo atimanon."

Anyway, don't let stress get to you. Enjoy your life but never forget what you must do for it may cause MORE stress. ^_^

Don't rush. It'll come to you. Don't speed up too much, you have to slow down at times.

Gotta sleep, must not stress myself. :D

Single Awareness Day?!

Valentine's Day is around the corner and whether you're alone, or just with family, there is NOTHING to be SAD about.

I really think that there is nothing to fret about being single during Valentine's day. There are just people who think that not having a date is very shameful and they might be outcasts to their so-called "friends". That's not really a problem since love doesn't just exist between lovers, but also with people you already love. Love is shared by everyone, for everyone. What's important is you spend it with those you really love. That's what love is, right?

Being sad is just overreactive. Just keep on smiling. ^^

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! ♥

Midterms are OVER! :D

These tests really took a toll out of me, despite the fact that I studied hard (but not hard enough, sadly) and there's an organization event next week. It won't be as hectic as the midterm week though, because I don't need to study for the event! HAHA!

By the way, one of the things that makes me feel good after a week of painful heartbreaks due to those tests is watching a collection of funny videos like this:

(I don't own the video, it's from RayWilliamJohnson, go check him out! =3)
Enjoy and have a great weekend! :D

Highlight of Last Week: THE GREAT AMERICAN CIRCUS. ^___^

THE GREAT AMERICAN CIRCUUUUUSSSS! :D

The only circuses I've ever seen were from TV shows and mostly the people in there would end up in a suicide or a murder... I would never have imagined that I could watch a real-life circus in front of my own two eyes! The presentations were so amazing that just looking back at the pictures made me still in awe of their greatness.

Just outside the Cebu Coliseum, I can already see how many people came just to watch this once-in-a-blue-moon experience. It started later than the expected time due to the number of people waiting outside just to watch it. Just by entering the place, you would see a lot of things around like the souvenir shop where all the items on sale are actually pricey. I was just shocked when I found out that the shirt actually cost P500!

Despite the amazement of the whole thing, I still have favorites and the worst part of the circus. Here they are:

FAVORITES
WHEEL OF DEATH:
Seriously, I was absolutely astonished by what the Valencia brothers did, especially the one who walked outside his circle blindfolded! It was breathtaking to look at them because seeing them do it is already scary, how much more if you were actually there.

Imagine the picture you see on the left, and multiply that by around 50 and that's how big it is. I'm not really sure with that though. Hehe. The picture doesn't clearly show it, but the guy on the top is the one who is blindfolded! DUN DUN DUN! Can you imagine yourself there? I think NOT! :))

CROSSBOW MASTERS:
This husband-and-wife pair have been married for 32 years and they still managed to put up a very spectacular spectacle with the crossbows. They did a very amazing stunt in which they got a Guiness World Record! AMAZING, isn't it? It was a life-and-death situation and the only way they could get out of it was through shooting the arrow precisely. UHH-MAZING! :D

THE WORST PART sadly, is the Michael Jackson Tribute. Not only the guy who sang didn't even compare to the King of Pop, but he looked like he had an overdose of makeup. Due to that, I never took a picture of him. (It really bummed out A LOT of Michael Jackson fans because it was too silent.

Overall, I really LOVED this. I never regretted going here and woke up the next morning with a headache due to lack of sleep. IT WAS WORTH IT. ^____^

Advice for Sinulog...

Since the festivities have started and the procession will happen tomorrow, and this will all lead to the Grand Parade this Sunday, I have advice for first-timers who would want to go there:

  • Know about what the celebration is: HERE
  • ALWAYS BRING WATER. Don't think that you wouldn't do this because it would be a cool accomplishment or you're used to not drinking water for extended periods of time. IT IS A LIFE-SAVER and people usually faint because of dehydration.
  • If it's a necessity, BRING IT; else DON'T EVEN PLAN TO BRING IT. There will be MORE pickpockets than usual this weekend, especially in the procession and the parade. Be careful with your belongings.
  • TRY OUT THE FOOD. Food's EVERYWHERE on the grand parade. It's nice to try them all out.
  • TAKE PICTURES. It's a given, so make sure you capture every single moment with a camera and remember the memories of this wonderful celebration.
  • HAVE FUN. This one's self-explanatory.
Here you go, some tips on how to enjoy Sinulog to the fullest. It still depends on how you celebrate it.

Have a Happy Sinulog Weekend, guys. ^__^

BUSY-ness Indeed.

Yesterday was almost kinda relaxed! I didn't realize that in.ana ra diay to ang test gahapon. The day was seemingly gloomy as I entered the room with a bit of nervousness when I finally realized it was not as hard as I thought it would be. (since easy = hard in our teacher's case. LOL) The day was just getting better since we really didn't do much until the end of the day.

TODAY though was such a GREAT hassle though because we had THREE tests! Each one is harder than the other! The good thing though that the first test we had was easier than the rest. I might fail the second test I took (which was full of terms) but I really hope I don't. After this, it would be a breeze...

SINULOG's almost here! PARTY PARTY! ^___^

Do You Still Read A Book?

WOAH.
I never really read books much before. They keep on boring me to who knows what. There were a lot of things I realized a lot of things while reading my File Organization book because I had to read it for purposes of understanding the topic that my group and I will report to class. Anyway, back to books.

Lately, when most of us would want to look for information about a certain issue or research about a topic for a report, we would usually go to the internet to search for it and POOF, there it is. Whenever we stare at a book, we tend to get too lazy especially if the report is made the night before the assigned day. I say that we shouldn't make internet a very reliable resource because most of them aren't really verified. Books have so many information that the internet may have missed despite the updates they put in their source. They may be old, but no school is better than old school. ^^

So, try reading a book and maybe learn something new once in a while.

An Exhibit of Sto. Niño

How appropriate. The title coincides with the fact that the Sinulog festival, which is an annual celebration of the Feast of Sr. Sto. Niño, is just 1 week ahead. (smiles)

When I was strolling around Ayala with my beloved family, we came across an exhibit displaying the various kinds of images of Sto. Niño around that area. It was so amazing that there are people who have shown their devotion this way and show it to the public.

Here are some of the pics I took when I was looking around:

One of the traditional images of Sto. Niño

This one was giant, honestly.

The Child Jesus, with his mother Mary.

This one really caught my eye...
They gave me a realization that each one of us has his/her own way of showing devotion and honor to someone important. (HONOR and PRAISE are two different things, in case you misinterpret)

1 WEEK to SINULOG! Yes Yes Yes! I'm actually excited for the day after more. (laughs)

Sinulog Festival 101

Here comes the time again for people to flood Cebu City's streets with the colorful costumes of the dancers, photographers taking their best shot either for fun or for proving their worth. There are also people who go there just to have a good time and enjoy the view of the streets.

In case you have NO IDEA what the festival's about, here are quick info:

  • The Sinulog Festival is an annual celebration held in the heart of Cebu City, known as the Queen City of the South.
  • The festival is in honor of the child Jesus, Sr. Sto. Niño and shows the Cebuano's Islamic and pagan origins and its acceptance of Roman Catholicism.
  • It is held every third Sunday of January. (in 2011, it's on the 16th)
  • A loyal devotee usually attends the Novena Masses that happens 10 days before the Mardi Gras. (in 2011, it started last Jan. 6)
  • It is one of the busiest times of the city as everyone prepares for this great event in which about 8 million+ people attended last year. (corrected, see link HERE)
If you know this, then you have the basics of what the festival is. For more details, go to http://www.sinulog.ph/. Hope you would consider going here and come celebrate this festive season with us. ^_^

To God be the Glory!

/* T3 OuT LoUd */ is now I. AM. LIANIXX.

I have now decided to change the name of this blog since this will be more than just the trials in my life but all the happy things, thus it is now named:

I. AM. LIANIXX.

Yes, it will now be known as this. Don't worry, all posts that were here before the name change is still here.

This is somewhat a new perspective to how I blog.

Hope you guys will love it. ^_^

This Week's Pleasure, Next Week's Pain

This week has been really a cheerful one, despite the fact that the teachers started bombarding assignments and quizzes at us in the start of the first week of school in 2011. I was actually on a brain reboot. Nothing changed much, except the fact that I'm currently applying everything that I've learned last year and hope things don't go really bad. The worst thing that happened this week is about that OLD MAN who really ticks people off especially because he blames us even though it's kinda his fault for not making things simple. Sheesh. If only that subject was easy. I'll just do my best to study this, otherwise I'm screwed. :c

Speaking of getting screwed, next week's gonna be VERY tiring for me because of the overload of tests that we're about to have. I just hope that The Great American Circus would calm me down for at least a bit. Even though it's just for one test, it's a major subject. Actually, no, it's a MAJOR MAJOR subject. (LOL @ funny reference) Sometimes, I get a little nervous at tests like these and I really hope to pass them.

What a pressure.

Oh well. I'll find that out when it happens. GOOD LUCK.

Trending Videos of MY Day (01.04.2011)

I just watched a few videos that made my day and hopefully it would make your day too. ^^

So basically, this video is short, but is really a fail. Weird face HERE. HAHAHA.

It's six seconds long, but it will be worth your while. :D

YouTube channel: HERE

Another one is a video series about a blender that blends anything, and I mean ANYTHING. Right now, the guy is now blending a Chrome Notebook. This gives evidence that everything used in the Chrome OS is just in "The Cloud". It makes you think that you wished you'd just get that. O_O

More info on Chrome Notebook: HERE
Will it Blend? Channel: HERE

The last video is about a kid, but this is NO ordinary kid. This kid ALWAYS says NO, I mean literally. Just watch this. Shocking for me, actually.

My source for some of these funny videos is from this show called =3 (Equals Three). This series is from a guy who reviews funny videos and ones that are just lacking. It's made by Ray William Johnson and you can check his latest video HERE and go to his channel and subscribe HERE!

That's all the videos I found for today, 'til the next time. ^_^

Bring in the New Year! :D

I never really made anything productive during 2010. I've been thinking about it and I now know that I should really get busy if I want to get away from laziness because it's really killing me. I will do my best to be a busy person and not get lazy but may want to get some rest at some point. Here are some things that I may want to do this 2011:

  • Improve this blog of mine, and maybe change its name since I think I'm starting to not like it anymore. Maybe include a login system for some contests or whatnot, hopefully I can get this done.
  • Practice programming more often than I should, and do better in my studies. That said, I may not post so many posts over the remainder of this semester.
  • Apply all that I've learned in making a functional website for an organization that will effectively complement its current events and activities.
  • Learn more things through a lot of experiences that enable me to see the bad in me and change it.
That seems like a lot of things but hopefully it would work out and I can do these things.

GET AWAY FROM ME LAZINESS!

New Moneyyyy! :D

I know, I know. I may seem like a braggart here, but I really can't help it! I was just shocked to see one of these just chilling in my mom's wallet 2 days ago when she gave us one bill each.

I was so ecstatic when I got this but honestly, I thought this bill was like "play money". I am proud though, to own one of these AWE...

wait for it...SOME bills. (LOL)

Short post for now since brain is preparing for school days again. Few posts again... 'Til the next post. ^^

The First Post of 2011. ^_^

Hahahaha. And I thought I'd post in the morning. I couldn't wait, so I made a post now. ^_^

My expectations of 2011:
  • The President of the Philippines not just saying change but DOING it. I don't want him to be like Obama which may lose his re-election due to some of his shortcomings.
  • Subjects not being a pain in the butt because that's the only reason why I feel discouraged to go to school in the first place. FRIENDS > SUBJECTS. (LOL.)
  • Sun Cellular's network strength is improved. Call quality is still BAD. Everyone will be happy if this happens.
  • China should be calmer with the Philippines now. They shouldn't bear all that pain that happened last year (which was yesterday). It's too much.
That's basically it for me. Who knows what can happen in 2011? Enjoy the new year, everyone. ^_^

The Last Post of 2010. ^_^

Well, this is it. My final post for the first year of the new decade.

Honestly, 2010 kinda sucked. Maybe that's because of all the bad stuff that happened to me. I won't mention any of it here obviously, but the good thing is they've been overshadowed with lots of good memories that made me super HAPPY!

Blockmates with super-special-awesome outings, debuts of good friends of mine, birthdays of people I love, another special Christmas, and now, another special New Year's Eve.

I don't want to make this super long 'cause the new year's about to arrive and we're going to enter it with a smile on our faces.

The only thing about 2011 that I'm not excited about is...

...CLASSES!

It sucks, but I have to do it because I love my course and I'd do everything it takes to graduate and have a nice time with what I'm doing, which now leads me to my New Year's Resolution.

"Optimize my passion for computer science."

Hard, but I want to do this to prove myself. I really hope I get that confidence I got when I first found out about this.

Happy New Year guys. Have a great one. ^_^

Christmas in CDO #5: Survivor Dahilayan

I was sick the night before that it was really crazy. I still had the headache but I was feeling a bit better. It was 5:00AM and we had to rush so that we could make it to our destination early. This day was already planned before we even arrived in CDO. We were going to Bukidnon in order to experience something completely different from the previous reunions: "surviving Asia's Longest Dual Zipline". WOW.

I slept through the other half of the road trip since I don't like looking at too much scenery of the road but when we reached the mountains, I woke up and saw the very nice view of the scenery. It was too bad I couldn't take a picture since I was listening to music at that time.

When we arrived, the place was filled with A LOT of people. Literally, A LOT. The view was nice since the zipline is set up on the mountains where it was really breathtaking. We were now on our way to Forest Park, a park that well shows statues of animals that generally live in the forest. Fun things happened after arriving.

We first rode a 320m/150m Zipline, yes there are two parts here. It was really fun since it was my first time. ^^ Every one of us cousins (except the youngest) tried it, even our moms did! It was so cool to look at them after my turn was finished! Shortly after that, we went up back to the cashier/view deck area where we were going to wait for the 840m zipline. We noticed a safari-type vehicle and we REALLY REALLY wanted to ride it. Sadly, we took a delivery van instead and headed to the 5400-ft area of the mountains. The road going there was so rocky that we were fortunate enough to wear helmets before going there. It was also the reason why going there took longer than usual. Riding the 840-m zipline was really a breathtaking experience that you really feel like Superman. WOOHOO!

Too bad I didn't have a picture of me riding it (which is sad) but the experience matters, right? After that, we ate lunch and had a photo shoot. Wait... WHAT? Yes, a photo shoot. The moms were posing MORE than their daughters, which I have gotten used to since that kept happening since Christmas Eve. LOL. We were supposed to have a peaceful fun time in the playground after walking a bit long route but suddenly they came and we were sort of embarassed because they were acting like children. Oh well, them reminiscing childhood reminds me of my own, which I really missed, honestly.

After which, two of my cousins decided to treat all of us with pizza. We all tried the hot sauce and it was SUPER HOT because it was Habanero hot sauce, one of the hottest ones that touched my tongue. O.o
We tried leaving some for the ones who were left behind, but we had to consume it because we were heading home. I really enjoyed this day because it was another day when smiles and laughs reigned over all our faces that day. ^^

Before we got home though, we stopped by a HUGE plantation of pineapples. It was like, "WOAH! So HUGE!" and they stopped for us to take a picture with it. Too bad the picture was overexposed, so it wasn't uploaded.

There you have it, we "SURVIVED" Asia's longest dual zipline! WEEE.

(Note: Two hours to 2011. ^^)

Christmas in CDO #4: CHRISTMAS Eve and Day

The time came when we gather just to have fun and appreciate the memories we shared together. ^_^

Christmas Eve is one of those times where I really really really appreciate the family being together. It's kinda rare to see that on our faces for a longer period of time. It reminds me often of times when I was still a kid and I would play around with my cousins during this time many years back. Now, we have all grown up and know that Santa Claus isn't real but we still feel that same Christmas spirit we felt at that time.

Okay, enough of that emotional background and onto what happened. I don't know if I should summarize it because basically all we did was EAT, sing our hearts out, watch some of our cousins perform some songs, play a game, and sing MORE and MORE until we can open our gifts! See how simple it was? Simple but VERY enjoyable, nonetheless. I was really happy to know that everyone had smiles and laughters on their faces, it was really a joyful mood. ^_^

On Christmas Day though, it was a simple plain day because we were tired from Christmas Eve. We went to mass together and thanked God for Jesus. ^______^

I got sick on that night, which was a bad time. :c
Hope I'll get well.

A Note to Christmas. :)

I won't be posting tonight since I want to enjoy the Christmas eve as much as I can. Enjoy your Christmas eve everyone. ^__^

I will post about this night TOMORROW, along with the Christmas Day post. ^^

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! ^____^

Christmas in CDO #3: The Anti-Laziness Morn of Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve. The time where we get together and eat. WHAT?

The only thing I'm afraid of this year is the time I eat during Noche Buena on Christmas Eve. I may gain a lot of weight due to all the pork, beef, and chicken. WOAH WOAH WOAH. So I decided to tag along with my uncles and cousin in playing basketball. It was fun, seeing that everyone had fun and laughter that time.

I'm running out of words for now. Maybe that's because I'm reserving it for the Christmas/New Year messages.

Until then.. ^_^

Christmas in CDO #2: A Walk, a Jog, and 2NE1 to Remember...

2 days 'til Christmas and things keep on coming... ^^

After a seemingly plain morning with the usual breakfast, lunch and in-between movie marathons, (Legend of the Guardians and You Don't Mess With the Zohan, to be precise) we went to SM, which was really convenient since it was just nearby. (Wishing it was the same in Cebu... sob.) Well, we did the usual "FIND-A-GIFT-FOR-MANITO/MANITA-AND-POSSIBLY-EVERYONE-ELSE" thing. (Long, isn't it? LOL.) The usual stupidity was there, but it was mixed with amazement for the fact that there were actually NICE shirts in the Department Store. Probably it's because there were interesting shirts like ones that are based on comic book characters and cartoons. They were really cool but didn't buy any because I didn't have enough cash to buy one. (sob again.) Then, another food trip happened. KFC - Dunkin' Donuts - KFC.

Apparently, the star of the food trip was the newest offering of KFC, the Double Down. It's a pretty addictive sandwich 'cause there's ALL MEAT, NO BUN. There are 2 Chicken Fillet that serve as buns with bacon strips, MAYO (for people who get this), and cheese. There was an issue with how it was cooked though, and so we kept talking about it until Ate Den's Double Down was actually not well-cooked. We actually got a FREE one because it was being replaced. WOAH. Shocker. Right.

After all that, going back was really fruitful 'cause gifts were successfully bought. (smiles) Shortly after we arrived, Karlo and I decided to play basketball with the other cousins who were with us. Instead of the 2-on-2, we played the game 21, the aim which is to earn EXACTLY 21 points. That game was really weird but it never ended. After that, I jogged around the village which was wicked 'cause it was already tiring through one round. >.>

Still, I had fun with it. ^^ Tomorrow night's the night. PRESENTS!!!! ^_^

Christmas in CDO #1: An Afternoon of FOOD.

WHOA. Still hearing my cousins singing karaoke. (Laughter is on my mind right now, people are sleeping where I am right now.) Anyway, this day was really random, due to the fact that stupidity reigned over us and tried to take over. Weird, right? Well, if you were sitting beside cousins who would ask rhetorical questions (one of them happens to be my sister, unfortunately) and sing Christmas songs in a ridiculous manner, then you ain't seen nothing yet.

On the way to Limketkai (a shopping mall in Cagayan De Oro), we've all been ranting about almost every single random thought we could even think of. We even reached Blue's Clues. What a distance. HAHA. When we arrived though, the stupidity never stopped. Common sense was rare at those moments where we laughed about senseless things. While that happened, gifts were bought and we wanted to eat already.

We were supposed to eat in McDonald's first, but decided to go to Missy Bon Bon Bread Shop to try out their Gelato and their Cream Puffs.

Their gelato was actually delicious. I picked the Straciatella and Donatella flavors. Unlike
Gelatissimo, this ice cream costs P45 per scoop for the Classic flavors, P50 for the Premium and P60(?) for the Super Premium. Add P5 if you want it on Cone. Unfortunately though, one of us didn't like the flavor picked. It was Caramel Apple and it tasted like medicine. Guess it should remain in its original state.

Then comes the delicious Cream Puffs which really had a lot of cream, as the name suggests. It's a very sweet pastry and is really kinda addicting. It's kinda cheap too, at P19 each.
Now, on to the main event: McDonald's! And again, we were under the rule of stupidity, so talking about nonsense has happened again, including the talk of including the "Shoot the Ball" game we saw while we were waiting for seats. When we finally got them, the big guns came out: FRIES GALORE!!!! WAHAHAHA.

Twister Fries and normal ones have been laid out on a tray in order for us to eat them all up! Then, boredom breaks loose by playing with the ketchup and the glasses. TCH. Should have taken a picture of that milkshake, which is NOT in Cebu. GRRRRRRR..

That wraps up my post for today... Tomorrow's another one. ^_^

Christmas is COMING! ^_^

Finally! A blog post after such a long time.. Seriously, even I have things to do. Being a college student REALLY isn't easy. Lots of assignments and new things to learn. One thing's for sure though, none of this would matter when December came...

...and yes, it didn't because this week was all about Christmas. Even though the start was kinda bumpy due to overloaded tests, we made it through in the end. There are so many things that we were supposed to do but because of Christmas, they got cancelled which was a GOOD thing. Lots of Christmas parties were around that time, and I think there were no classes held at all.

Today, our block is going to go to church for what we call in the Philippines as "Misa de Gallo" (Rooster's Mass, it is called so because it is said that a rooster was one of the first to witness Jesus' birth) and then, eat breakfast.

Who knows what else we will do today 'cause after that, we'll have NO CLASSES! Yehey. ^^ Buying gifts will be first priority. ^_^

'Til then, Merry Christmas everyone.

2nd semester: WEEK 2...

WHAT. A. WEEK.

It felt like I never left 1st semester because of the familiar faces, but I knew this semester's going to be tougher than the last one. The teachers are super crazy due to their ability to give us massive hassles of assignments and tests. Hopefully Christmas will be sooooooooo peaceful despite ALL these things.

Good luck to us... (>.<)

2nd semester: First Three Days...

The break is over and we must again face those plain-text books and see all our friends... (even though we practically are always with them during sembreak ^^)

The first three days were like... ZZZ... In our block, only 2 teachers showed up. The bad thing is, they're the HARDWORKING ones! grrrrrr... oh well, no choice...

While waiting for the teachers though, we played card games like Killer Eye (there's an IMPROVED version!) and Tong-its. :))

Since it was still the first week, I can meet almost anyone in the 4th floor of the Bunzel Bldg. and talk about almost anything. Hopefully, I can meet new people once formal classes has started.

FOR NOW, I must have fun with this week! BANZAI! ^^

sembreak 2010 files: ARCHCon 7...

This is a picture of a free art photo I got from ARCHCon this year. :) I really enjoyed it because A LOT of things were happening on this day. The cosplayers were SUPER-amazing as usual, and there was a gaming tournament. Tekken, to be exact. I wasn't surprised as to why there were A LOT of people attending and cosplaying.

ARCHCon stands for Anime, RPG/Roleplaying, Comics, and Hobbies CONvention. This is the seventh time this event took place (thus dubbing it ARCHCon 7) and I'm so happy I attended this the second time around. :)

Hope that the next one will be even BIGGER. :D I think this was the last bang before sembreak ends and second semester starts this Monday.

Gotta ♥ ARCHCon 7! Don't you? ^^

First Sem is DONE.

Whew! That was really tiring. All that work was cut out for some of us. 121 REALLY REALLY kicked our cans there. Physics as well. I can't believe that was over, though. The experiences along the way were so much fun. We learned a LOT of new things and in the end, we stood strong.

Unfortunately for some, they weren't able to reach it. Condolences to them and I wish them all the best.

For the ones who made it, we shall not falter until we graduate! GO GO GO! :D

good luck this second semester. :)

bye bye, for now. ^^
