The Last Post of 2010. ^_^

Well, this is it. My final post for the first year of the new decade.

Honestly, 2010 kinda sucked. Maybe that's because of all the bad stuff that happened to me. I won't mention any of it here obviously, but the good thing is they've been overshadowed with lots of good memories that made me super HAPPY!

Blockmates with super-special-awesome outings, debuts of good friends of mine, birthdays of people I love, another special Christmas, and now, another special New Year's Eve.

I don't want to make this super long 'cause the new year's about to arrive and we're going to enter it with a smile on our faces.

The only thing about 2011 that I'm not excited about is...

...CLASSES!

It sucks, but I have to do it because I love my course and I'd do everything it takes to graduate and have a nice time with what I'm doing, which now leads me to my New Year's Resolution.

"Optimize my passion for computer science."

Hard, but I want to do this to prove myself. I really hope I get that confidence I got when I first found out about this.

Happy New Year guys. Have a great one. ^_^

Christmas in CDO #5: Survivor Dahilayan

I was sick the night before that it was really crazy. I still had the headache but I was feeling a bit better. It was 5:00AM and we had to rush so that we could make it to our destination early. This day was already planned before we even arrived in CDO. We were going to Bukidnon in order to experience something completely different from the previous reunions: "surviving Asia's Longest Dual Zipline". WOW.

I slept through the other half of the road trip since I don't like looking at too much scenery of the road but when we reached the mountains, I woke up and saw the very nice view of the scenery. It was too bad I couldn't take a picture since I was listening to music at that time.

When we arrived, the place was filled with A LOT of people. Literally, A LOT. The view was nice since the zipline is set up on the mountains where it was really breathtaking. We were now on our way to Forest Park, a park that well shows statues of animals that generally live in the forest. Fun things happened after arriving.

We first rode a 320m/150m Zipline, yes there are two parts here. It was really fun since it was my first time. ^^ Every one of us cousins (except the youngest) tried it, even our moms did! It was so cool to look at them after my turn was finished! Shortly after that, we went up back to the cashier/view deck area where we were going to wait for the 840m zipline. We noticed a safari-type vehicle and we REALLY REALLY wanted to ride it. Sadly, we took a delivery van instead and headed to the 5400-ft area of the mountains. The road going there was so rocky that we were fortunate enough to wear helmets before going there. It was also the reason why going there took longer than usual. Riding the 840-m zipline was really a breathtaking experience that you really feel like Superman. WOOHOO!

Too bad I didn't have a picture of me riding it (which is sad) but the experience matters, right? After that, we ate lunch and had a photo shoot. Wait... WHAT? Yes, a photo shoot. The moms were posing MORE than their daughters, which I have gotten used to since that kept happening since Christmas Eve. LOL. We were supposed to have a peaceful fun time in the playground after walking a bit long route but suddenly they came and we were sort of embarassed because they were acting like children. Oh well, them reminiscing childhood reminds me of my own, which I really missed, honestly.

After which, two of my cousins decided to treat all of us with pizza. We all tried the hot sauce and it was SUPER HOT because it was Habanero hot sauce, one of the hottest ones that touched my tongue. O.o
We tried leaving some for the ones who were left behind, but we had to consume it because we were heading home. I really enjoyed this day because it was another day when smiles and laughs reigned over all our faces that day. ^^

Before we got home though, we stopped by a HUGE plantation of pineapples. It was like, "WOAH! So HUGE!" and they stopped for us to take a picture with it. Too bad the picture was overexposed, so it wasn't uploaded.

There you have it, we "SURVIVED" Asia's longest dual zipline! WEEE.

(Note: Two hours to 2011. ^^)

Christmas in CDO #4: CHRISTMAS Eve and Day

The time came when we gather just to have fun and appreciate the memories we shared together. ^_^

Christmas Eve is one of those times where I really really really appreciate the family being together. It's kinda rare to see that on our faces for a longer period of time. It reminds me often of times when I was still a kid and I would play around with my cousins during this time many years back. Now, we have all grown up and know that Santa Claus isn't real but we still feel that same Christmas spirit we felt at that time.

Okay, enough of that emotional background and onto what happened. I don't know if I should summarize it because basically all we did was EAT, sing our hearts out, watch some of our cousins perform some songs, play a game, and sing MORE and MORE until we can open our gifts! See how simple it was? Simple but VERY enjoyable, nonetheless. I was really happy to know that everyone had smiles and laughters on their faces, it was really a joyful mood. ^_^

On Christmas Day though, it was a simple plain day because we were tired from Christmas Eve. We went to mass together and thanked God for Jesus. ^______^

I got sick on that night, which was a bad time. :c
Hope I'll get well.

A Note to Christmas. :)

I won't be posting tonight since I want to enjoy the Christmas eve as much as I can. Enjoy your Christmas eve everyone. ^__^

I will post about this night TOMORROW, along with the Christmas Day post. ^^

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! ^____^

Christmas in CDO #3: The Anti-Laziness Morn of Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve. The time where we get together and eat. WHAT?

The only thing I'm afraid of this year is the time I eat during Noche Buena on Christmas Eve. I may gain a lot of weight due to all the pork, beef, and chicken. WOAH WOAH WOAH. So I decided to tag along with my uncles and cousin in playing basketball. It was fun, seeing that everyone had fun and laughter that time.

I'm running out of words for now. Maybe that's because I'm reserving it for the Christmas/New Year messages.

Until then.. ^_^

Christmas in CDO #2: A Walk, a Jog, and 2NE1 to Remember...

2 days 'til Christmas and things keep on coming... ^^

After a seemingly plain morning with the usual breakfast, lunch and in-between movie marathons, (Legend of the Guardians and You Don't Mess With the Zohan, to be precise) we went to SM, which was really convenient since it was just nearby. (Wishing it was the same in Cebu... sob.) Well, we did the usual "FIND-A-GIFT-FOR-MANITO/MANITA-AND-POSSIBLY-EVERYONE-ELSE" thing. (Long, isn't it? LOL.) The usual stupidity was there, but it was mixed with amazement for the fact that there were actually NICE shirts in the Department Store. Probably it's because there were interesting shirts like ones that are based on comic book characters and cartoons. They were really cool but didn't buy any because I didn't have enough cash to buy one. (sob again.) Then, another food trip happened. KFC - Dunkin' Donuts - KFC.

Apparently, the star of the food trip was the newest offering of KFC, the Double Down. It's a pretty addictive sandwich 'cause there's ALL MEAT, NO BUN. There are 2 Chicken Fillet that serve as buns with bacon strips, MAYO (for people who get this), and cheese. There was an issue with how it was cooked though, and so we kept talking about it until Ate Den's Double Down was actually not well-cooked. We actually got a FREE one because it was being replaced. WOAH. Shocker. Right.

After all that, going back was really fruitful 'cause gifts were successfully bought. (smiles) Shortly after we arrived, Karlo and I decided to play basketball with the other cousins who were with us. Instead of the 2-on-2, we played the game 21, the aim which is to earn EXACTLY 21 points. That game was really weird but it never ended. After that, I jogged around the village which was wicked 'cause it was already tiring through one round. >.>

Still, I had fun with it. ^^ Tomorrow night's the night. PRESENTS!!!! ^_^

Christmas in CDO #1: An Afternoon of FOOD.

WHOA. Still hearing my cousins singing karaoke. (Laughter is on my mind right now, people are sleeping where I am right now.) Anyway, this day was really random, due to the fact that stupidity reigned over us and tried to take over. Weird, right? Well, if you were sitting beside cousins who would ask rhetorical questions (one of them happens to be my sister, unfortunately) and sing Christmas songs in a ridiculous manner, then you ain't seen nothing yet.

On the way to Limketkai (a shopping mall in Cagayan De Oro), we've all been ranting about almost every single random thought we could even think of. We even reached Blue's Clues. What a distance. HAHA. When we arrived though, the stupidity never stopped. Common sense was rare at those moments where we laughed about senseless things. While that happened, gifts were bought and we wanted to eat already.

We were supposed to eat in McDonald's first, but decided to go to Missy Bon Bon Bread Shop to try out their Gelato and their Cream Puffs.

Their gelato was actually delicious. I picked the Straciatella and Donatella flavors. Unlike
Gelatissimo, this ice cream costs P45 per scoop for the Classic flavors, P50 for the Premium and P60(?) for the Super Premium. Add P5 if you want it on Cone. Unfortunately though, one of us didn't like the flavor picked. It was Caramel Apple and it tasted like medicine. Guess it should remain in its original state.

Then comes the delicious Cream Puffs which really had a lot of cream, as the name suggests. It's a very sweet pastry and is really kinda addicting. It's kinda cheap too, at P19 each.
Now, on to the main event: McDonald's! And again, we were under the rule of stupidity, so talking about nonsense has happened again, including the talk of including the "Shoot the Ball" game we saw while we were waiting for seats. When we finally got them, the big guns came out: FRIES GALORE!!!! WAHAHAHA.

Twister Fries and normal ones have been laid out on a tray in order for us to eat them all up! Then, boredom breaks loose by playing with the ketchup and the glasses. TCH. Should have taken a picture of that milkshake, which is NOT in Cebu. GRRRRRRR..

That wraps up my post for today... Tomorrow's another one. ^_^

Christmas is COMING! ^_^

Finally! A blog post after such a long time.. Seriously, even I have things to do. Being a college student REALLY isn't easy. Lots of assignments and new things to learn. One thing's for sure though, none of this would matter when December came...

...and yes, it didn't because this week was all about Christmas. Even though the start was kinda bumpy due to overloaded tests, we made it through in the end. There are so many things that we were supposed to do but because of Christmas, they got cancelled which was a GOOD thing. Lots of Christmas parties were around that time, and I think there were no classes held at all.

Today, our block is going to go to church for what we call in the Philippines as "Misa de Gallo" (Rooster's Mass, it is called so because it is said that a rooster was one of the first to witness Jesus' birth) and then, eat breakfast.

Who knows what else we will do today 'cause after that, we'll have NO CLASSES! Yehey. ^^ Buying gifts will be first priority. ^_^

'Til then, Merry Christmas everyone.
