Since the festivities have started and the procession will happen tomorrow, and this will all lead to the Grand Parade this Sunday, I have advice for first-timers who would want to go there:
- Know about what the celebration is: HERE
- ALWAYS BRING WATER. Don't think that you wouldn't do this because it would be a cool accomplishment or you're used to not drinking water for extended periods of time. IT IS A LIFE-SAVER and people usually faint because of dehydration.
- If it's a necessity, BRING IT; else DON'T EVEN PLAN TO BRING IT. There will be MORE pickpockets than usual this weekend, especially in the procession and the parade. Be careful with your belongings.
- TRY OUT THE FOOD. Food's EVERYWHERE on the grand parade. It's nice to try them all out.
- TAKE PICTURES. It's a given, so make sure you capture every single moment with a camera and remember the memories of this wonderful celebration.
- HAVE FUN. This one's self-explanatory.
Here you go, some tips on how to enjoy Sinulog to the fullest. It still depends on how you celebrate it.
